For most of the day, Kamakura was wrapped in something between mist and drizzle. By evening, however, the rain finally stopped. My right leg seemed to be feeling much better, so I decided to do something I had not done for three weeks: take Anne for a walk. It was only an ordinary evening walk, but after being unable to do it for so long, it felt like a small but welcome return to everyday life.

It had been three weeks since Anne and I had walked together like this.
As we walked along Wakamiya Oji, I found myself thinking about just how long it had been since our last walk.
After that, we went to a newly opened home improvement store nearby.
They have shopping carts large enough for big dogs, so I put Anne in one and did some shopping.
Perhaps she was a little tired after her first walk in a while, or perhaps she simply liked riding in the cart.
Either way, Anne sat quietly in it the whole time.
After three weeks away, even an ordinary walk together felt a little special.
